Applicants are being considered for the position of Coastal or Marine Geologist in our Tampa Bay Regional Office in St. Petersburg, Florida. Applicants must have the technical background and/or experience required to accomplish various tasks associated with marine geophysical data collection and processing.
The position is a broad-based geology position with a concentration in offshore geophysical (seismic sub-bottom, sidescan sonar, and magnetometer) data collection and processing in support of resource identification for beach nourishment projects and related activities. The ideal candidate has experience with mobilizing and operating geophysical systems, offshore survey operations, and geophysical data processing and interpretation.
The following minimum qualifications are required:
a. Bachelor of Science degree in marine geology or similar field (Master of Science preferred);
b. Willingness to conduct offshore geophysical and geotechnical field investigations requiring stays on offshore survey vessels and/or day trips on smaller coastal survey vessels;
c. Willingness/ability to occasionally travel for up to three weeks at a time for field work, in and out of the country;
d. Demonstrated understanding of geophysical principles and survey methodologies (including Real-Time Kinematic GPS Experience);
e. Demonstrated ability to fluently communicate in spoken and written English;
f. Must possess a clean driving record;
g. Have a passion for working in a consulting firm environment on coastal projects;
h. Be able to legally work in the United States without support for an indefinite period of time;
i. Have the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively and process data/prepare reports with limited supervision;
j. Self-motivated hard-worker capable of working in a team environment in (sometimes difficult) offshore survey conditions;
k. Be able to work independently and with our multidisciplinary team of professionals and staff;
l. SCUBA diving certification at an advanced level, with AAUS Scientific Diver certification preferred.

The positions are broad-based engineering position with a concentration in beach nourishment; coastal protections and structures; inlet and navigation studies involving client contact, feasibility analyses, engineering designs, limited computer modeling, report preparation, permitting and construction engineering services, at a minimum.
We are seeking a Coastal/Ocean Engineer for the following locations:
Wilmington, NC: Experienced coastal engineer with ability to acquire NC license in 2-years and potential for advancement to chief engineer in our North Carolina Office.
Boca Raton (Company Headquarters), Fl: Coastal Engineer II/III
